Job Description

Our AI team is focused on developing the core technology that is fundamental to our products. This involves all aspects of designing, prototyping, and productizing solutions (e.g. algorithms and architectures), ML training and optimization (distributed training and inference), and data engineering (tools for data processing, data pipelines, and supporting ML infrastructure).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct R&D in cutting edge areas of ML: Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Automatic Speech Recognition including but not limited to Object Detection, Object Recognition, Text and Speech Analysis, and Image Retrieval that can be applied to a variety of product development scenarios.
  • Implement state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms.
  • Optimize algorithms for real-time or limited computational resources (GPU, CPU, and memory).
  • Define evaluation metrics for algorithm performance evaluation based on statistical analysis of algorithm output.
  • Design and prototype solutions in response to critical market needs defined by management.
  • Work closely with product teams on detailed requirements, technical designs and implementation of end-to-end solutions in production.
  • Develop product-grade code during and after the research phase is completed and performed.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and competing technologies.
  • Review relevant published papers and present to the team and management on a regular basis as applicable to our products and services.
  • Generate high quality patents and/or publications in Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition as well as documenting the algorithms and software solutions developed as part of this process.

Required:

  • PhD/MS in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering with specialization of machine learning, computer vision, NLP, speech recognition.
  • Experience with training deep learning models
  • Experience with large data sets: image and video, text, speech.
  • Experience with image and video analysis, text and speech recognition, tabular data.
  • Preferred experience with Python, C++
  • Preferred experience with PyTorch, numpy
  • Effective presentation ability and communication
  • Analytical, logical and critical-thinking skills.

Job Description

We are looking to hire an AI/ML Solutions Engineer with experience in production machine learning systems. 

As an AI/ML Solutions Engineer at Protopia AI, you will directly interface with clients to help them apply our core privacy technology and solutions to their deep learning applications, including but not restricted to machine vision, natural language processing, and a variety of other AI/ML tasks. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Interface directly with enterprise clients and their ML engineers to ensure the successful use of Protopia’s products in their use-cases
  • Take ownership of ensuring client’s success with their use cases
  • Communicate effectively to key internal stakeholders on both technical and business teams
  • Work with a team of world class engineers and scientists to advance the state of our products and solutions based on learnings in the field
  • Occasional on-site work with enterprise clients

Required:
